Vanilla pastry cream
°½ dl whole milk
°1 dl whole cream
°1 vanilla pod, cut lengthwise
°2 tbsp cornflour
°1 rectangular puff pastry rolled out (approx. 25 x 42 cm)
°400 g pitted cherries, approx. 320g pitted cherries
°a little icing sugar
Whisk together all the ingredients up to and including the sugar and bring to a boil over medium heat while stirring.
Once the mixture has set, remove the pan from the heat and continue stirring for 2 minutes. about. Pour the cream into a bowl through a sieve and leave to cool.
Cut the puff pastry in half, then each piece of dough in three. Fold in the corners and place the pieces on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Spread the cream in the middle of the dough, garnish with cherries.
Approx. 30 mins. in the middle of the oven preheated to 200°C. Take out of the oven and let cool.
