*Ingredients

° 12 Apple Macintosh

° 1/2 cup golden brown sugar

° 1 teaspoon vanilla

° pinch of cinnamon (optional)

° 1/2 cup butter

* Preparation :

Step 1 Peel, seed & cutting apples to pieces. Put them in lemon water while you wait to prevent them from darkening.

The second step Drain the water and rinse the apples. Put them in a saucepan and cook with brown sugar over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring regularly. If the apples aren’t very juicy, add 1/4 to 1/2 cup of water.

Step 3 Near the end, add the vanilla and cinnamon (if desired).

Step 4 Puree it in the blender. Adding butter & mix again to smooth. Putting in jars.

++Author notes:I am happy to say that the taste of this recipe is “heaven”! Definitely not recommended if you’re on a diet, but I can’t wait to wake up the next day to eat a good apple butter toast! This recipe makes approximately 4 cans of 250ml. They can keep for 1 month in the fridge and 6 months in the freezer (but they make water when thawed).

Enjoy!
